OK so I've made 10 1/8th mile passes with my car. 10th pass was a winning first round. Lift off the gas and get the car slowed down. As I'm turning off the track I hear a loud SQUAWK SQUAWK SQUAWK sound coming from the eninge. It gets faster when raising the engine rpms. At an idle it can barely be heard. BUT I have a really loud lifter tick like the lash is off. SO I pulled the intake, valve covers, rockers and pushrods. All the roller lifters still roll but 1 cam lobe is blackened where the roller appears to have not been rolling well and got hot. (I've got a picture but it's not great) SO is it possible that under spring pressure the roller was trying to lock up? OR is the squawking sound coming from something else?

Are you using synthetic oil?? Sometimes its to slick to let the rollers turn. I don't think that would make a noise though?? I would cut your oil filter and hope it doesn't look like you have been panning for gold. lol
This is a ford motor though right? They are supposed to blow up after 10 passes.

Running that green Brad Penn Racing oil. Yeah it's a FORD. BUT according to Gordon Fords last 10,000 passes. LOL.
Sent the lifters back to CROWER for inspection. COMP CAMS said as long as the cam wasn't pitted or scarred it'd be OK. So I'm just waiting on the outcome.

From the looks of that cam, you definitely have an oiling problem. Better get the pan off and have a look at the bearings. In my opinion, that sounds point toward a spun bearing.
