We,will be bringing a couple of cars for the June 2 race.I was just wondering how the track was and I see where you took the bump out of the lane-it was the right lane, wasn't it?Thanks for info and we do enjoy racing at Sallisaw,OK!Terry Hudgens

So far everyone seems to be happy with the track. I would say its been hooking better than ever, but I am a little bias lol.
We did put new concrete in the right lane where it was cracked and falling in. I've been told there is a bump after the finish line in the right lane. I need to look into getting that ground flat.
I hope you guys can make it out this weekend for our first heads up race!

How many do you think would come, that usually go to Ozark? Or would you even be interested in that? Im easy to work with, I will do what ever it takes to draw the most cars. If I have cars, I know spectators will start to come back.

Had a Couple people ask me about tnt on some Friday nights..I told them I would bring up the idea..and if there was enough cars to show up it would be worth it... They have tried tnt a few times before, but never stuck with it because it didnt make enough to cover what it cost. I love racing, but the track has to make a profit. Just to get a basic idea: insurance for tnt is $177, a drum of VHT is $975 before tax and shipping, I have to have a minimum of 7 employee's just to run the track at $10 an hour + food for concession stand that I may or may not sell......etc etc. And no Im not complaining....just telling it from the other side! Remember I'm a racer too! I was just telling Charles how much better it was when I could show up and race and he could try to make everyone happy! LOL Anyway, after saying all that, I may give it a try if enough people say they want it. The problem is, if I start it, then quit it, the people that came and like it will be mad because I stopped! Now if someone wants to sponsor Friday night TNT....... ;D

I know at Ozark they do have a 2 qualifying runs on friday nights-not a tnt.I will talk to the guys in our class and see how many cars ,I could get come down to race.I think having them on a different weekend would draw cars from Ozark and also I think Thunder Valley is the same weekend?I see where you have free entry,And I am not telling you what to do-but if you did a Q1 an Q2 on friday night $25.00 on that night and $95.00 on Saturday. This would help to pay employees/electric-etc.This is just a idea.If I said to much just tell me to Shut Up-Thanks-Terry

You didnt say to much, Im always open to ideas. The whole thought behind the free entry is Sallisaw has always, or most always had a low car count for various reasons. I'm just trying to give the racer a reason to want to come here. Im not against charging an entry fee at all, even if everyone wanted to pay something and add it to the payout. I want to make money off spectators....the racers are the show. Got to get the racers back first, then the spectators will come back. (I hope LOL ) I did a couple of events before and had qualifying on Friday and it worked out well. In fact I may do that for our first true shootout. ( the one in June). I just need to see how things are going to go for the moment. If you think you can get some cars to come down on a 3rd weekend, tell me when you want to do it and I will give it a try.

Hey Joe,I think having a qualifying for the bigger payout shootouts, would work fine.Like the King of the Hill race?Mo-kan has friday night tnt-mostly street cars, but they will have around 20 to 30 cars. For the shoot-out guys and you know this,it is had sometimes to get the set-up in a couple of passes. We will come down on Friday nights-if you are open!Unlike alot of track owners you do reply and are open to try different things!Keep up what are doing and cars will come back around!THanks-Terry
