Yesterday was our last day to be open, and me and Angela's last day to run the track. As of right now no one is in line to open it next year. We want to thank all of our sponsors who helped get the year started, and especially Taylor Rental for going above and beyond helping. Thanks to all of the racers that supported us by showing up. There were a few that went out of their way to help with other things: Terry Hudgens and Jim B. Toby Blaylock and Kevin Taulbee Thanks to Justin Martin and Andy Iames for sponsoring and helping me promote the shoot outs. Thanks to Gordon and Jimmy for helping me with the brackets and making my lane guy cry! LOL J/K Congratulations to Chad Sheffield for setting the new track record at 4.46 And Justin Martin for setting the new small tire record at 5.06. I'm sure I missed some people, you will live. And to all the cry babies and people I made mad.......

After a couple months of less stress and not having the phone ringing with people complaining you'll start missing all the FUN and decide to run it again next season.. THANKS for running the track!! I only wish I could have made the trip down and raced more.

Joe, I just want say I also appreciate the place to race especially having so close. I know it's all about the money, but I still beleive alot of people want the track to be active. Ya I know sometimes it's a hassel and it needs some improvements and eveybody me included have an opinion, but I would hope there are people (that propably smarter that me!) that can get together and come up with ideals to make this place work. I guess I will throw this out there and say I have heard ideals such as Joe run the heads up and somebody help run the brackets. I don't know all the ins and out of running a drag strip, but I thought it was an ideal. Just trying to show some passion for OUR ole track...I hope everybody has a good holidays...

What is someone else gonna do for the brackets? The only thing that is gonna fix this track is someone who wants to throw money away. Thats not me. The Woods bros. did pretty good at the brackets....and guess what, they lost money. Nobody wants to race on a one lane track and nobody wants to watch bracket racing.
